Photography Portal

Photography is a term used to define the process of capturing either static or moving photos with the use of photographic film or electronic sensor. It is an interesting field of Art which associates the latest technology with human’s creative perception in order to create a visual expression presented by a photo. Nowadays, beside the artistic approach towards photography, it is become also common to use photos for industrial and business related purposes. A photo, despite of its artistic potential, which is achieved by utilizing the elements of designs and principles of organization, possesses informative content that could be use to convey the needed data to the audience.
In order to comprehend the concept of photography, and its development since the existence of the very early photos, it is necessary to review it in different aspects such as its History, the cameras, the styles and the technology.

Photography

The history
The word “photography “is originally taken from the Greek words phōs and gráphein
Which mean “light” and “to write” respectively. Even though the first signs of photography could be seen within 5th and 6th century (with the invention of “pinhole Camera), the first photograph was made in French in1826 by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce whose subsequent effort was on Silver compounds. Niece’s experiments were followed by Louis Daguerre, working on the silver process. This process got popular in the middle of Industrial Revolution. The development of Photography has also been contributed by Sergei Lvovich Levitsky (designing bellows camera), George Eastman (eveloping dry gel on paper- Kodak Camera) and Russel A.Kirsch (Digital scanning process). Color Photography, was explored in 19th century, however the first fully colored plate was not produced until 1907. The exposure through new techniques and inventions led to the genesis of Digital photography.

What is Digital Photography?
In simple terms, it means using photography to capture images using digital technology. In the past, photographic film was the main ingredient for photography. But through progress and development, photography has taken the next level in its evolution by utilizing digital technology. With digital technology, you can print, store, display and do so much more with your pictures than you ever thought possible! You can use your equipment to store the images or, if you have a computer, you have the ability to transfer and store your photos onto your computer's hard drive.
With digital technology stepping in, it certainly has changed traditional photography in so many ways.

Camera
A camera generally consists of an enclosed hollow with an opening at one end for light to enter, and a recording or viewing surface for capturing the light at the other end. A majority of cameras have a lens positioned in front of the camera's opening to gather the incoming light and focus all or part of the image on the recording surface.
A camera, no matter in what type, shape and form will always need a lens. A camera lens, or known commonly as photographic lens are optical is the most basic but also the heart of the camera we all use today. Although the lens use the basic principle of convex lens, camera’s lens was significantly shift to different specification depend on the function it serve. The lens’s ability to capture images, both still and motion is why we still implemented till this day. Despite this, camera lens also undergone major changes and modification to fit its role and its need.
Camera’s ability to capture images is through the recording radiation and light spectrum or known as UV lights, the light transmitting to the surface of the photography film.
Conclusion:
Hence, the human developments in every aspect of life would demand the development in the use of photography. A photograph might be used as an informative resource, a piece of art, an advertisement, or simply a sign to remember a memory. Photographers as Artists find their field of interest and capture the moments that they wish to save eternally .To do so, they utilize the latest technology provided and explore the visual, physical and conceptual and even spiritual aspects of the subjects. In fact, what a photo does is that it expresses the static eternity that lies beyond the reality of subjects by simply releasing them from the actual physical movement.

Life is like a Piano,,,,

Joxtaposition 2

Juxtaposition, as a term used for generating conceptual creativity could be used by referring to almost every element around us. In other words, the already-existing hidden relationships between every element of life which makes up the world we live in could be a reliable source of creativity. it could be about the emotions which is spontaneously expressed within two unfamiliar concept. For example we can say: life is like a spiral valley, the more you get into it, the more get lost. juxtaposition could also be used by referring the physical appearance of two things. This can somehow lead to stereotype and might be racially offensive. politicians especially

are often targeted for creating physical juxtaposition between human and animals.

Hence, the use of juxtaposition is a practical method of creating novel and interesting ideas.

Juxtaposition In Music

Music is a form of art which could be often interestingly associated with the elements that pertains to the concept of creativity. One of this elements, which is frequently seen to be used in either Classical or Contemporary music is " Juxtaposition". In terms of history, In was the beginning of Renaissance in Europe , which- however to a limited extent- allowed the musicians to be more creative on composing songs. this was first ignored by the church due to religious believes. they believed that the use of polyphonic melodies( two melodies played at the same time is somehow offensive to the religion because it ignores God's solidarity by expressing two ideas at at the same time. however, in the subsequent eras such as classical and Romanticism these believed had been proved to be false and thus had decayed. As we see in the modern music, there are compositions that lack the tonality that creates a gravity towards one note, giving us a sense of loss and , yet conveying certain (sometimes religious) meaning.
In the contemporary music, the use of juxtaposition is wide and sometimes it relates to the music video. for example, in the music video of "No Bodies" by Marylin Manson, the singer is shown in a creepy make up while singing the lyrics: today I'm pretty,,,
Hence, music regardless of its type could be highly associated with Juxtaposition.

An insight through the term " JUXTAPOSITION"

what can help us to be creative? there are definitely more than one answer for this question, there are several ways to reach a high level of creativity. One of the common methods that-when used within the work- signifies the creativity of the creator/artist is "juxtaposition". Juxtaposition is literally a linguistic word, relating to semantics. It is defined as contrast in which two discourse segments are correlated to each other. there are certain words such as albeit, however, and but which are used signifying the contrast. The use of juxtaposition goes beyond the semantic relationships when it is applied to art. A lot of the interesting stories that build up a film are made using juxtaposition is several features. for example, a villain might possess some characteristics that make the audience feel sympathetic for him while hating him. even in design , sometimes it is seen that two distinct concepts are associated with each other, creating a unique contrast. Juxtaposition increases the interest within the audience perception to get a thorough perspective. Hence it would be bneficial for every artist to make effort on the comprehension and the methods of juxtaposing, either conceptually or literally.

Creativity, A Treasure for Mankind

What makes human different from animals? there are certain characteristics found in every human being that proves the valuable existence of mankind. among this characteristics, the ability to think is the one which is often highlighted compared to other entities. the ability to think includes many precious features which leads to aspects such as logics, emotion and a significant feature called "Creativity". Since the era of early human beings, creativity has been the initial step of the every improving process. This feature, as said by Andrea Theisson is problem-solving . thanks to creativity, early human to come of with the ideas such as building house, making clothes out of the animal skins, cooking different types of food etc. In fact, The creative minds of very era have brought convenience for the people living in the community of that period of time. in the past creative people could come up with novel ideas which could be transformed into the reality after a thorough analysis. nowadays, the creative ideas offered in the past are being re-produced within a technologically-enhanced world associated with technology. for example, the idea of using fire as tool for cooking was used by mankind of the past era for cooking purpose. Differences between Creativity, Innovation and Novelty

Human is gifted with a mind that is capable of coming up with new ideas. Over the years, as indicated in history, There have been people whose effort on generating new things have contributed to the way others live. This contributions, are done within a process associated with three fundamental Terms, namely: Creativity, Innovation and Novelty.
Despite the fact that these terms are socially used synonymously, There are different from each other either practically or conceptually. Creativity, as defined by LONGMAN DICTIONARY, is the ability to use your imagination to produce new ideas, make things etc. According to the book
"The Nature of Creative Development", Creativity is followed by a process of development, which includes the formation of a creative interest, and exploring it in order to develop them.
This statement spontaneously leads us to another significant term which is Innovation. Even though creativity and innovation are related to each other, they have different meanings and practice. In fact, Innovation is the process in which we transfer our creative Ideas into practice. this is done based on the subject in which the creativity is applied to. For instance. In business, Innovation could be regarded as utilizing a creative idea into the production, or advertising the the product " innovatively". The third term, which Is Novelty, Is the quality of being new. Hence, presumably, it is associated with the previously mentioned terms, Creativity an Innovation. Considering great inventions such as automobile, it could be realised that creativity could be regarded to as the invention of something new based on a previous concept, or product in use( Automobile eases the way people travel, before that people would use animals for travelling or do it on foot). Creative minds are capable of inventing new things, yet based on an already-existing idea. What makes them practical and acceptable to the society, is the newness within the way their ideas are represented. This newness in called Novelty.
In summary, A creative development demands creative interest, innovation and novelty in order to be useful for the society. Recently, the creativity is highly associated with technology, which is borough into the society as a feature of modernity.

Creativity and Art

Creativity, without any doubts is an isperable element, which is applied to every kind of art. A creative artwork, regardless of the type it is presented through( whether film, animation, painting, music etc) fascinates the audience with novel ideas within it. Hence, every artist must seek methods that higher his level of creativity and inovation. Creativity, when applied to a certain kind of art, is applied relating to what is known as "Usual" and what goes beyond that ( conceptually or technically). whenever the artist succeeds to come up with a new idea, or a new form of an already-existing idea, creativity is comitted.
The music video shared below represents a creative piece of art, done by Oren Lavie, using the technique "stop motion". There is a harmony between the musical trend and how the frames are arranged in order to from a unique style of music video.

Defining Creativity

An article written by Uchechukwu Akuma Defines creativity as " the process of having new ideas or merging the existing facts and new discoveries to produce materials goods, services or anything that betters the lot of mankind.

Creativity is the ability to come up with a new Idea, which can later be presented in reality, or the ability to explore a new feature/ form of an idea that already exists. Creativity is often perceived as a positive term this is because without the ability to create, mankind could never improve his lifestyle to the point we can witness today, which is having the exposure to the latest technology and inventions to make life more convenient. Instance includes the invention of phonograph by Thomas Edison and Airplan by the Wright Brothers etc. However, history indicates that a creative mind could be severely dangerous when it is used improperly, as committed by Dictators such as Hitler. Undoubtedly, without a creative mind, he would not be able to take the control of a land and rule it.

The term “creativity” itself, is considered highly significant when it comes to Arts.

Looking through every well-known artwork, it could be seen that Creativity has influenced the artist mind, and its correlation with skill and experience has generated an interesting piece of art. Examples may include symphonies composed by Mahler, and Paintings of Picasso, and Animations of Tim Burton. Three musicians, a creative artwork

by Picasso, which presents humans
